At Matera Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026, the meeting brings together institutions and partner organisations to share experiences, promote intercultural dialogue, and strengthen collaboration in cultural heritage conservation and restoration.
The day of 14 October will be dedicated to presenting the CHEDAR (Cultural Heritage Digitisation and Reconstruction) project, coordinated by Prof. Grazia Tucci of the DICEA Department at the University of Florence (UNIFI).
The session will present methodologies, technologies, and applications that integrate remote sensing at territorial and building scales with close-range and microscale investigations. Particular attention will be devoted to data fusion, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Twin models for smart monitoring, condition assessment, energy performance analysis, risk evaluation, and the preventive conservation of built heritage, including buildings and infrastructure.
